Building the foundation for a successful soccer career starts with proper coaching. The Michigan Impact Soccer Academy provides this by having the right mix of instruction and entertainment. Instruction builds the proper technical foundation that the players can build on and the entertainment aspect keeps the kids engaged and wanting to come back every week.
We offer 2 different branches of the Academy. We encourage all players to participate in the academy regardless of past soccer experience. All sessions are designed on the slant line theory which provides fun and challenges for all skill levels.

About the Director
Brock started coaching with the Michigan Impact in 2010. He started by assisting with the academy and then transitioned into coaching younger teams within the club. He has a passion to help the youth of the area experience the joy in the game of soccer. Brock brings a great combination of experience, leadership, and just the right amount of silly. This trio of characteristics has helped players under his lead develop themselves in the game and find their own passion for this wonderful sport. In the Fall of 2014 Brock left coaching teams and transitioned into the role of Academy Director. This allows him to devote his time into further developing the Academy and the Lite Program.
The Prospects
Ages 5-8
BOYS & GIRLS
The Prospects program is aimed to start bridging the gap between recreational and competitive soccer. The players will be placed onto a team that will play together every week against another team in the Academy. The teams are divided up based on age and skill level; we want everyone to find joy and success on the field. Each hour long session starts with 30 minutes of technical work on the weeks topic. The final 30 minutes the teams will scrimmage against one another.
The games are played in a small sided format with no goal keepers.
