Katie grew up playing soccer in the triangle area before moving to Charlotte to play collegiately at UNC Charlotte.  Upon graduating, she went on to George Mason to get her masters in public policy.  While in Washington DC, she started working in youth soccer clubs in the area.  In 2014, she moved to Portland where she coached at BSC Oregon, Portland Thorns Academy and Oregon ODP.  In her last year in Oregon, she was named Oregon Youth Soccer Association Girls Coach of the Year.
