Activities this week (9/8-9/9)

Hello Purple Foxes and parents.
So we have a lot of upcoming activities, and I want to make sure we are all on the same page:

Friday September 8:
1) NO PRACTICE: I think it will be cutting it too close and a bit too much for the kids to go to straight through practice and then parade

2) Parade: Begins at 7:00PM, but plan to arrive at 6:30PM. Kids wear uniforms, no cleats. Katie will lead. Katie will bring pizza for the kids for dinner.
-I don't have a meeting place, so please look for Katie and text or call her if you have difficulty finding (415-710-1189)
-Cherakah has the banner

Saturday September 9:
1) FIRST GAME: 1pm at Taylor Middle School vs the Kickaroos
-EVERYBODY MUST HAVE THEIR SIGNED PLAYER REGISTRATION AND CONCUSSION FORMS TO PLAY (I only have for Mabel and Vivana currently)
-Maria Wada volunteered for first snack rotation
-4 x 10 minute quarters
-Every kid must play 2 quarters
-currently Lilliana is still injured, so we have 5 players
-please one of the parents make sure to rotate the kids in and out
-Assuming the other 5 girls are there, the following rotation will work:
Q1- Mabel, Viviana, Emily, Alana
Q2- Mabel, Viviana, Emily, Hailey
Q3- Mabel, Emily, Hailey, Alana
Q4- Mabel, Viviana, Hailey, Alana

-I have put Mabel in for all 4 quarters, because it was easier to volunteer her as my kid. If she is seeming like she doesn't want to play all 4 (very likely) and there is another kid who is itching to play all 4, please go ahead and switch that child with Mabel in one of the 4 quarters.
-If one kid is not there, then all 4 kids will play all 4 quarters. If we are one kid short, please borrow a player from the other team.
-Please emphasize to the kids that we are there to have fun, we are not keeping score, the object is to score on the other team's goal and to stop them from scoring on our goal (please point out which goal is which), to focus on the dribbling skill that we went over in practice, and to experiment and not be afraid to try new moves, ideas, plays, etc.
-Have them start possession by kicking it back from the center ring to one of their teammates on our side of the field to maintain possession (don't need to kick forward to other team).
-Remember they kick in from out of bounds instead of throw in; they kick it from goal if out of bounds on the other team on our goal line while we are defending; they do corner kick if goes out of bounds on other team on the goal we are shooting on.

I will repeat this type of note for next week's practice and game as well, but Katie, Mabel, and I will all be away, so I will need some mroe parents to step in to manage the practice and game. I will write out a detailed practice plan for that week.

I'm so bummed to miss these first couple weeks and to not be there at the parade. Thanks for everybody's help in my absence. I know the girsl will do great and have a lot of fun.

Good luck team!

best,
Coach Elad
