SSA Awarded 'Player-First' License

Southern Soccer Academy was today announced as a recipient of US Club Soccer's 'Player First' license, one of only 46 clubs across 19 states to do so.

The license is awarded to a youth soccer club following a rigorous application process assessing factors such as Club Development, Coaching Development, Player Development, Parent Engagement & Education, and Player Health and Safety.

In announcing the news, US Club Soccer CEO Kevin Payne said "We believe this to be the most rigorous and comprehensive attempt in US Soccer history to identify those clubs that have demonstrated a commitment to creating the kind of infrastructure and culture necessary to provide the best overall environment for all players".

The announcement goes on to say that the license, as youth soccer's 'Good Housekeeping Seal', allows clubs to take this newfound recognition into their communities and nationally, standing out as pioneers in improving the club soccer experience for players and parents.
