LEADERSHIP TRAINING PROGRAM
I.C.A.R. FALL 2016
Sports Quest is pleased to announce the first graduating class of SQI (Sports Quest Institute). The 7 students who are members/attendees of Iglesia Cristiana de Amor y Restauracion all expressed a desire to learn how to use sports as an effective outreach tool for the church. SQI offered 2 separate 6 week courses to the students, covering topics such as leadership, evangelism, program policy and structure, discipleship and practical application exercises. We are excited to share that the graduating class has now created a program that is ministering to children from a nearby apartment complex (see pic below); the intention being to foster relationships leading to evangelistic and discipleship opportunities with both the program participants as well as their families. Sports Quest looks forward to offering other such educational opportunities in the future to churches in the greater Houston area through the Sports Quest Institute.
