COACHING EXPERIENCE: 

Gary Burke is greatly influenced by his English heritage and shows his passion to help players develop in every training session. He wants to build confidence and nurture the ability of his players technically, tactically and mentally. During his 14 year coaching career Gary has achieved many licenses, is a youth club coach, Head Varsity Coach at Connelly School of the Holy Child, and works with the MD Olympic Development program. Additionally, Gary is an educator of other coaches for both MSYSA and the NSCAA. 

PLAYING EXPERIENCE:
As a player he represented England school boys at u16 and u18 level as well as having time at professional clubs Newcastle and Darlington before coming to America. Gary was given a soccer scholarship to division one St. Francis University, Pa. Where he was a four year starter and team captain his senior year. Gary continues to play competitively in the DC area. 

POSITIONS PLAYED: Center back (#4 or 5), Right back (#2) and Center Midfield (#6) 

PLAYING HIGHLIGHTS: 

                          - 2001-2004 Member of Saint Francis Division One men’s soccer team. Captain 2004 

                          - 2000 Played for England School Boys U`18. A fond memory during this time is playing at the old
                             Wembley stadium in front of 33,000 people. 

                          - 1998-2000 Played for Durham County and won the F.A. County Youth Cup 1999 

                          -1998 Played for England boys clubs U`16
