Hong Chin
 Hong Chin (Cambodia)

Hong played soccer for several clubs around Atlanta growing up, including DDY United Select, ASA Wolves, Concorde Select, Nike Express traveling tournament team and the ODP Regional Pool. He also played on this Varsity teams from 9-12 grade at Lakeside High School. He played for his college, Brewton-Parker, on a full four-year scholarship. After college, he took a position at Lakeside as Head Coach for the JV Boys and Assistant Coach for both Girls and Boys Varsity). Since then, he has been coaching at clubs around Atlanta including, AYSA, GOLsa, InterAtlanta FC and TYSA for 17 years.

He currently has a USSF Soccer Coaching LIcense - National C.

Will Pickard
Will Pickard (Atlanta, GA)

Coach Pickard grew up in Gwinnett County where he played for the GFC Power, now known as The Streamers. He played Classic I, R3PL, Super Y and ODP, representing the state of Georgia. Will attended the University of West Georgia, where he began coaching the Men's Club team. After college, he wanted to continue coaching so he started as a volunteer at TYSA before getting involved in the rebuilding process of our Academy program. Coach Will currently coaches the U7 and U8 boys Academy Junior teams.
 


Maren Dale
 

Maren Dale (Ft. Lauderdale, FL)

Maren Dale attended Princeton University from 2004 to 2008, where she was a member of the 2004 NCAA Division I Final Four team, started her Junior and Senior years, and captained her team her Senior year.  Maren played with Jersey Sky Blue in the USL W-League in 2007.  In addition to her playing career, Maren coached at the youth level at the Tony Dicicco Soccerplus Goalkeeper Schools and Princeton University camps. After graduating with a B.A. in Philosophy and volunteering in South Africa with Grassroot Soccer, Inc., Maren earned her J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law.  Maren is an attorney at the Georgia Court of Appeals.


Maren graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, where she played varsity soccer all four years and started her Sophomore, Junior, and Senior years.  St. Thomas ranked No. 1 in the nation her Senior year.  Maren was named First-Team All-State her Junior year.  Both her high school and club teams won multiple state championships.  Maren was also a member of the Florida State ODP team from 1999-2003, which competed for the national championship in 2001.
 
Fergal Forde
 Fergal Forde (Ireland)

Fergal is currently the Head Coach at Chayton State University an NCAA Division II University competing in the Peachbelt Conference. Prior to being named Head Coach he was an assistant for both the Men's and Women's teams beginning in 2014. Forde helped the men's soccer program to a 15-15-2 overall record and 8-10 mark in Peach Belt Conference action and the women's team to a strong 22-15-1 overall mark. Between the two clubs, he helped them produce one CoSIDA Academic All-American, two CoSIDA Academic All-District selections, 12 All-Reion selections, 12 All-PBC honorees and 15 PBC weekly award winners.

Forde was also an Assistant Men's Soccer Coach at Division II Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tennessee during the 2010 season. During that time, he helped the Bucs reach the Championship game of the Gulf South Conference Tournament. The following season, the players he helped recruit would go 15-4-1, win the GSC Tournament and advacne to the NCAA Tournament for the second time in the program's history.

From 2009-2010, Coach Forde serves as the assistant Coach for the Women's Senior Team and Boys U16 programs at KR Reykjavik, Iceland.

Forde served as the Director of Coaching and the Head Coach for the Ballina Town F.C. Ireland Senior Men's Team between 2011 and 2014.

      Kentaro Takada

Kentaro Takada (Japan)

Coach Taka turned professional in 2006 with Thespa Kusatsu of the J2 League, initially with the U-23 team in 2006, before being promoted to the senior team in 2007.  After a professional career in Japan, Takada moved to the United States in 2009, and played one season with the expansion Rochester Thunder in the USL Premier Development League.

He was then signed by the NSC Minnesota Stars (current MLS MN UNITED FC) of the USSF Division 2 Professional League in 2010, and made his debut for the team on May 29, 2010. In January 2015, Takada signed with USL expansion side Saint Louis FC where he spent 2 years. Takada also played for STL Ambush of the MASL (indoor professional soccer), and finished up with the Atlanta Silverbacks in 2017.

Throughout his career, Takada has mixed his playing career with a variety of coaching assignments.
During his time in Minnesota he worked with the world renowned Coerver Coaching Method while also spending time with both Hill Murry HS and Como Park HS. During his 2 years in St. Louis, Coach Taka worked with the well-known Scott Gallagher Soccer Club.  Most recently (and locally), prior to joining TYSA, Coach Taka had been working with Inter Atlanta FC, coaching their ‘07 Boys Elite team and their ‘05 Boys.

Ross Henderson
 Ross Henderson (Lincoln, UK)

Coach Ross began his playing career with many clubs in England. He played and captained at Lincoln College, making it to the final 8 of the National College Cup.

He was granted a soccer scholarship to play at Erskine College, South Carolina. During his sophemore year, Erskine won the first NCAA conference title. He then went on to captain Erskine in his junior and senior years. 

During the summers, Ross played in the NPSL and PDL for Myrtle Beach Mutiny. His team won three division titles, final 16 of the National cup, and he led as captain for the 2016 season.  

Ross has 6 years experience coaching at various levels. He coached for Coast FA for one year, Christian Academy High School in 2017, and through Global Image Sports he coaches for many English academy teams. He has been a North American Academy coach for West Ham, Wolves, Stoke and the Muelensteen Method.

 
 
 
Ben Smith
Ben Smith (Atlanta, GA)

Ben has been playing soccer his entire life. He came up through the TYSA youth soccer program, playing for a variety of excellent coaches at the top level on a travel team. He stayed with TYSA through his teenage years, while also playing for the Georgia Select program and the Olympic Development Program. Ben played soccer at Lakeside High School in Atlanta, GA, graduating in 1997 with a Georgia State Championship. He captained the 1997 Georgia State Championship team and the Georgia All-State team. Ben decided to end his competitive soccer career and attended the University of Georgia in Athens, GA. 

Ben came back to soccer to coach at Lakeside High School in 2008, as Varsity Assistant Coach and Junior Varsity Head Coach. That season, Lakeside High School won another Georgia State Championship. He became the Varsity Head Coach of Lakeside High School in 2013. While still involved with Lakeside High School soccer, Ben stepped down in 2017 as Varsity Head Coach at Lakeside High School to focus on being an elementary school principal at the Atlanta Area School for the Deaf and to coach at TYSA.

Santiago Arenas
Santiago Arenas (Colombia)

Sanitago was born in Medellín, Colombia, where he grew up playing soccer every night in the streets. When he moved to the United States, he joined GFC, currently known as Steamers FC.  Santiago also played for Berkmar High School on both the Varsity and Junior Varsity teams. 

Santiago started coaching in 2014. Since then he has coached for UFA Norcross Atlanta Eagles, UFA Lawrenceville, and Meadowcreek High School (JV Head Coach).  Santiago joined TYSA in August of 2018.  He has coached different age groups from U-9 to U-18 both boys and girls.  He earned m USSF C license in 2016 and also completed a soccer coaching course in Colombia in December of 2018.

Alex Prato
 Roberto "Alex" Prato (Venezuela)

The height of Alex's playing career came when he played for the first team in the second division of the Venezuelan Professional Soccer League. Prior to that, he played in the Under-20 Venezuelan golden series for Universidad Central de Venezuela FC (UCV FC) for two years.  While playing professionally, Alex began coaching youth soccer in Venezuela.  After finishing his playing career, Alex completed his degree in accounting and began working for Ernst & Young Venezuela.  Alex also competed in trail running competitions throughout Venezuela, winning several races.  He began working with TYSA in 2017.
