Welcome!
My name is Scotty Bearden, and I am your Recreational Director here at Southern Soccer Academy - Coweta. At SSA, we use a combination of skill training, game fundamentals and fun to give our players the most educationally rich and enjoyable experience possible. We aim to give our players the confidence they need to take on the challenge of learning a new skill until they are comfortable enough to repeat it on their own. All our coaches strive to give all their players the tools and support they need to succeed on the field all while having fun!

*If your child is placed on a waitlist, this means that we don’t yet have enough players to form an additional team or we don't yet have a volunteer coach. Please consider volunteering to coach if your child is on a waitlist. Not only will this assist us in creating a new team, but you will receive a refund for your child's registration after the season ends if you have completed all of your coach SafeGuarding tasks.
**Please note that this process takes time, and we appreciate your patience as we place over 1000 players on over 85 teams. Once this process is completed, you will be contacted by your child's coach who will share important information including practice days and times.

September 16 - U4 Little Lions Practices Begin
November 18 – Fall season Ends
We offer leagues for all skill levels and offer guidance to those that are interested in moving from Recreational to our more competitive Pre-Academy or Academy programs.
SSA Pre Academy is a program for soccer players that offers an alternate developmental pathway to our traditional Recreational program. It aims to accelerate the technical and tactical development of players looking to participate in the U8-U12 academy program and the 13U and older Select program. The goal of the Academy program is to prepare our players for SCCL-level soccer at 13U and above by developing their technical and tactical skills in a high-quality training and playing environment where an enthusiasm for, and a commitment to, the game is nurtured and rewarded. I plan to carry on the successful Recreational program that is currently in place. My goal is to continue to provide the best possible experience at SSA for you and your family as we develop friendships, skills, and memories on the fields while attaining individual player growth throughout the season.
