Quick Description: The process is to obtain the required clearances then upload them into your account at PA West. These clearances are good for 5 years.
Here are the 3 steps:
Step 1:

You will need to complete the listed background checks. Save or Print/Scan results.
Step 2: Log on to PA West's Site for Risk Management, click "To begin REGISTRATION please click here". Register for an account if this is your first time, or reuse your prior account. Follow the instructions to upload the 3 documents into your risk management profile. Pa West retains the clearances on Centre Soccer's behalf. Note: Returning coaches must call PA West - 412-856-8011, so they can remove the old/outdated forms BEFORE you can upload the new ones.
Step 3: Save your clearances for future use!

If you have completed any of the required clearances within the last 3 years for another organization, they are acceptable to reuse here. These are the same clearances now needed to volunteer in other institutions such as school and church programs, and other youth sports programs.
The PA websites may be experiencing heavy demand and not be working during peak hours. Please consider trying during off-peak hours for better results.
This is the process to establish and report the proper clearances to Centre Soccer and comply with the PA Child Protective Services Act.
The law requires all paid coaches and administrators having direct contact with children to comply with the law immediately. Volunteers have until July 1, 2015 to complete the certifications required by law. New volunteers to Centre Soccer must meet the new requirements.
If you have completed any of these 3 background checks within three years for another position, they are usable to meet the requirement.
For PA West and Centre Soccer, completing this process is good for 3 years.
