Advanced Talent Promotion Program
U9 Soccer Players – Boys & Girls

This is one our elite training programs. It offers an advanced clinic for dedicated players that wish to be challenged.

Note: This clinic will have open enrollment into January. If interested please email Coach Jerry at [email protected]

Purpose

Provide a high level training environment for the talent promotion of players who are passionate, skillful, and demonstrate strong potential with the game of soccer

Highlights

  • Advanced age-appropriate training (technical and tactical)
  • Coordination and agility training
  • Coaching by top level licensed coaches
  • “Club Neutral Environment” where talented players from different clubs can come together for a challenging training experience
  • Enhancement of the core values of sportsmanship, self-discipline, teamwork, and respect for the game
  • Players will receive a training uniform they will wear for all sessions
  • Skill assessment, feedback, and home training assignments
  • Training 1x/week to minimize conflicts with club team activities
  • “Game Days” – internal games as part of the training program

Other points of interest

  • Coaches will use the concept of “Skill Modules”. In addition to the consistent themes of footwork and ball mastery, the training sessions will be clustered in groups focusing heavily on certain skill topics. For example, a group of 3 sessions might have a “shooting” focus; another 3 might have a “passing” focus, etc.
  • Coaches will merge the QuickSkills Soccer Curriculum with various training methods from some of the top youth academies in the world
  • For training a 4v4 small sided games model will be used to enhance game insight and provide age-appropriate tactical development
  • After a series of training sessions players will have a “Game Day” in which they will compete with each in other in a game format
  • For “Game Days” days a 5v5 model will be used. The additional player in 5v5 will add some complexity that will help further develop game insight and age appropriate tactical awareness.

Details

  • This clinic will be made up 2 “Assessment Sessions” & 15 “Training or Game Sessions” (total 17)
  • For the “Assessment Sessions” we ask that you invite a teammate or friend to take a look at the program. The friend should be the type of player that is similar to you in terms of commitment to your development.

Location(s)

  • The first 5 sessions will be at the Pine Richland Youth Center, 5554 Community Center Drive, Gibsonia PA 15044 (Intersection of Route 8 & Route 910)
  • The remaining 12 sessions will at the Lakevue Athletic Club, 124 Sylvan Spring Lane, Valencia, PA 16059 (On Route 8 just north of Route 910)
  • Lakevue Athletic Club will offer a Field Turf surface. This will offer more space and a training surface closer to the natural grass that the athletes play on.
