Watchung Hills Soccer Association [WHSA] has recently launched two new websites to allow users to get more information about the club, its programs, teams, fields and schedules. In addition to a replacement for the WHSA website that has always been found at www.WHSA.org; WHSA has released the first website for their NJ Elite program at www.NJEliteSoccer.org.
www.WHSA.org will continue to be the home of WHSA recreation and travel programs.
Recreation
The recreational soccer program is open to all children from pre-kindergarten to 8th grade and primarily serves residents in Warren, Watchung, Long Hill and Green Brook. The fundamental goals of the program include developing soccer skills, fostering proper attitudes toward competition and sportsmanship, learning the rules, teaching respect and the value of teamwork, and promoting self-confidence.
Further, the program offers an excellent opportunity to make new friends and provides a safe environment to develop skills and exercise.
Travel
The Watchung Hills Soccer Association Travel Program is committed to providing an opportunity for youth to develop to their potential in a high quality and competitive soccer program. Teams do so by participating in leagues that are affiliated with New Jersey Youth Soccer (NJYS), which is part of the National Association representing youth soccer in the State of New Jersey. The Watchung Hills Soccer Association Travel program is designed for players in age groups U8 through U14. There is also a Division 1 and 2 programs for high school and college aged players [U16 to U19] that run in the spring season only.
www.NJEliteSoccer.org will focus solely on the club’s Premier Development Program elite teams.
The NJ Elite soccer club is set up according to a specific player development system that will see a player progress and will help that player excel at the Elite level. The club’s clear and transparent development plan will be monitored throughout the year and both players and parents will be constantly updated on the player’s development rate. The coaching staff of the NJ Elite program exists of professional coaches that oversee every aspect of the teams. Teams will train at the state of the art facilities in Somerset County.
