Select Academy Tryout Dates
U9-U12- May 20th and 23rd
U13-U19- June 3rd and June 6
Check in is from 6:00 to 6:15 PM
Tryouts start promptly at 6:30 PM
NOTE: In order to allow all players who are being evaluated the benefit of having a fair tryout environment, we will not allow any players who arrive after 6:30 to participate in evaluation for that evening. Any players arriving after 6:30 will need to come to another scheduled tryout or email [email protected] to see if the team they are interested in trying out for is willing to have a makeup tryout date.
Players only need to attend one tryout night, but we do encourage them to go to all tryouts, so that coaches have more opportunities to see the player’s potential.
Redoubt Select Academy is a Division 3 program offered to players who are selected from evaluations by our Select Academy coaching staff. In Select Academy, each player who is selected will be placed on a team of Redoubt's choosing.
Each team will practice twice a week (practice days and times to be determined by the coach), and each team will participate in weekend games and at least one tournament per season. Games may be played on Saturday and Sunday as well as scheduled during the week. Tournaments will be decided upon by the coach and manager of each team and may involve a weekend of travel with the team participating in round robin or point-based competitive action that may result in a champion.
Division 3 is a more competitive environment than recreational soccer and is ideal for a player wanting to grow their soccer skills. The cost is more than a recreational season and comes with a year commitment. The price per year is $350 (this fee covers both fall and spring seasons), with an additional cost of approximately $90 for uniforms. Teams will also collect an additional team fee. The team fee varies by team, and helps in covering the costs of games, tournaments, and other team expenses. Each player and parent will sign a commitment letter to the team they are chosen for.
