LA Angels of Anaheim Ryan Etsell off to a BLAZING start!

Ryan Etsell has come out on fire for the Inland Empire 66er's (High A affiliate of the LA Angels of Anaheim). He has pitched 25 innings, striking out 23 batters while walking only 5 and posting a 1.44 ERA. Ryan had a great off season here at CKP. During his career, he had never thrown a fastball above 91 MPH. After only 2 weeks into the season, he was up to 94 MPH. The gains he saw this off season were a testament to his work ethic and ability to internalize the things HE needed to work on. Though there's more baseball to be played, it's great to see our players doing so well as things get started at the professional level.
