Kroger Community Rewards Program
Ohio Galaxies FC has partnered with Kroger to offer the Neighborhood Community Rewards Program for our families. The Kroger Community Rewards Program enables you to link your Kroger Plus card purchases to the Ohio Galaxies FC organization. Kroger will make a donation to Ohio Galaxies FC each quarter based on the overall amount of purchases made by families that designate Ohio Galaxies FC as their non profit community organization. The amount of the Kroger donation will vary each quarter and will depend on the total Kroger purchases made by everyone that tags their Kroger plus card to OGFC. There are also annual limits on the size of the Kroger donation to organizations in our Kroger district. We will give back to participating families, in the form of player credits, 85% of what we receive from the
Kroger donation.
We invite OGFC alumni and family members to continue to participate in this OGFC/Kroger program. OGFC/Kroger community rewards earned from OGFC alumni accounts will be designated to help fund the Vincent J. Kohen Scholarship program for senior OGFC Players. Please consider pariticipating in this worthwhile program and helping current and future OGFC players with your participation in the OGFC scholarship program.
How do I enroll in the Kroger/OGFC Community Rewards Program?
The good news is that the program is easy. If you have not yet registered your Kroger plus card online with Kroger, you will need to complete this step initially, before registering for Ohio Galaxies FC Community Rewards. Once you register online with Kroger and tag your card with OGFC, you are all set.
- To register for the program, please visit online at https://www.kroger.com/communityrewards
- If you already have an online account with Kroger, click on Sign In
- New online customers must click on Register or Create an Account.
- Be sure to have your Kroger Plus card handy.
- Once signed in, you can enroll or update your Community Rewards under Account Settings.
- Enter WB265 or Ohio Galaxies FC; select Ohio Galaxies FC from the displayed list; click Confirm.
- If you are enrolled correctly, you will see the organization's name on the Account Summary page.
- REMEMBER, purchases will not count for our group until you register your Kroger Plus card with the Kroger Community Rewards Program.
- Do you use your phone number at the register? Call 800-576-4377, select option 4 to get your Kroger Plus card number.
- Members must swipe their Kroger Plus card or use the phone number that is related to their registered Kroger Plus card when shopping for each purchase to count toward Ohio Galaxies FC.
What do I need to do to continue to earn Kroger/OGFC Community Rewards each year?
Once you enroll with Ohio Galaxies FC as your Community Reward Partner, there is no need to re-enroll each year. Ohio Galaxies FC will remain your Community Reward Partner unless a change is made to your account.
How do I apply our Community Rewards Credits to our OGFC player account?
In order for us to consistently track family credits, Ohio Galaxies FC requires each family to report online their quarterly donation total. Ohio Galaxies FC will send a quarterly email as reminder to report quarterly totals. At that time, you should log on to your Kroger account Click here, and obtain your quarterly donation amount from the Account Summary page.
Once you have received your Community Rewards quarterly total from your Kroger online account, you will need to click here to enter that information online for OGFC tracking. OGFC will retain this information and apply the credits once each season, just before the final billing.
When will Kroger send the reward credits to OGFC?
The Kroger Community Rewards program is set up on a quarterly basis. Quarter #1 is May - July, Quarter #2 is August - October, Quarter #3 is November - January and Quarter #4 is February - April. OGFC receives the Community Reward payments from Kroger approximately 30 days after the end of each quarter.
When will the Kroger credit be applied to my OGFC player account?
Each season, Kroger community reward credits will be applied to OGFC player accounts in January so they will offset final balances due by March.
Given the timing of Kroger's quarters and reporting, credits earned after Oct. 31 will carry to the following season.
For instance, credits earned from November 2018 - October 2019 will be applied to player accounts in January of the following year.
What is the amount of our household's Community Reward?
Ohio Galaxies FC will retain 15% of the Community Rewards Donation for administration. 85% of your quarterly Kroger Community Rewards will be applied as credits on a player's account.
What happens to my Kroger rewards credit if an OGFC player discontinues playing with Ohio Galaxies FC?
If a player leaves the club any credits will be applied to our Kohen Scholarship Program, with no payment to the player.
Can I use the Kroger reward credits to pay for travel expenses?
The Kroger reward credits can only be used toward player fee credits. The credits cannot be applied to cover any travel expenses for players or families.
I have participated in a Kroger rewards program with another soccer program, can these credits be applied to OGFC?
In order to receive credits for an OGFC player account, parents need to register Ohio Galaxies FC as their community reward partner.
