Job Opportunities

Centre Soccer Association as a community based non-profit depends mostly on parents and volunteers to run our programing but we also hire qualified coaches to work with these volunteers and to handle some of the administrative side of our programs. Below you can find job descriptions, requirements and benefits of working or volunteering with CSA.

COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES 

Looking to earn community service hours? Enjoy the game of soccer, help Centre Soccer provide affordable soccer opportunities by volunteering to referee games, coach, lines fields or help with collecting or organizing equipment. For more information click here.


CAMPS - CLINICS - ACADEMY STAFF  

Centre Soccer is always looking for good coaches to work with our players at our Camps, Clinics and Academy program. For more information click here.

CENTRE SOCCER TRAVEL AND CLASSIC COACHES

Centre Soccer use a mix of paid and volunteer coaches to work with our travel teams. All coaches must meet the minimum requirements below. At times coaches will be given a season to complete the requirements if they have other qualifications that make them good options for the position. For more information click here.


INTERNSHIPS

Looking for an internship, enjoy the game of soccer or looking to understand the administration of sports better then we might have an internship for you. If you are interested please send cover letter, resume and 3 references to Lisa Cole.

        
COACHING INTERNSHIPS

Centre Soccer is looking for highly motivated college students who are able to work effectively with young players, have some soccer and/or teaching experience and can communicate effectively with kids and parent's. Interns will be supervised by CSA’s Technical Director, Lisa Cole.

SPORTS MANAGEMENT INTERNSHIPS

Centre Soccer is looking for highly motivated college students who are able to work effectively with players, coaches, and parents and who can represent CSA well in the community. Has some interest not only in the game of soccer but in marketing, social media, management and development.  Interns will report directly to CSA’s Technical Director, Lisa Cole.

PROGRAM DIRECTORS
Centre Soccer hires Program Directors to oversee age groups to insure that all players are receiving age appropriate opportunities to develop. These Directors are required to demonstrate an expertise in soccer with licensing and year of experience in soccer.   

Fundamental u7/8 Director -
The Director for the u7/8 Fundamental Program is responsible for providing coaches and parents a clear outline and schedule for the season, forming teams,  evaluating all players and inputting evaluation into CSA's database. The Director will assist CSA with assigning and finding coaches for all the teams. The Director will provide coaches with detailed training curriculum and goals for the season. Each week they will email coaches the lesson plan for the week and be available via email and in person for questions. On the field the Director will make sure that the group rotates on time, that the activities are being run well, players are on the ball a ton, and everyone finishes with a small sided game. The Director should take an active role in not only player development but also should be developing coaches.


Developmental u8 Director - The Director for the u8 Developmental Program is responsible for providing coaches and parents a clear outline and schedule for the season, forming teams and placing players in the appropriate ability group for the Season. MS/HS Rec Director -
The Director for the MS/HS Rec Program is responsible for organizing training sessions and creating fun playing enviroments for the group. The Director should take an active role in not only player development but also keeping the games fun for the players. Post season the Director will evaluate all players, make recommendations for players to move up to Travel Teams and input the evaluations into CSA's database. At times the Director will be asked to coach teams in games vs. outside competition. The Director will assist CSA with assigning and finding additional coaches as needed. The Director will provide coaches and parent's with detailed training curriculum and goals for the season. Each week they will email coaches the lesson plan for the week. On the field the Director will lead activities and make sure everyone finishes with a small sided game.

Adult Rec Director The Director for the Rec Adult Programs will be in charge of scheduling, communicating with teams and players, promoting and growing CSA Adult Programs. The Director will make recommendations to the Technical Director about what programs we should offer, the format and levels needed to ensure that Adults are enjoying their soccer playing experience. The Director preferably plays in the Rec Programs and knows the players, can help with forming teams, etc.

State College Premier League Director - The Director for the SCPL is in charge of scheduling, communicating with teams and players, promoting and growing the league. Director will make recommendations to the Technical Director about rule changes, roster issues, etc at the end of each season. Director will communicate with referee assignor to make sure the games are provided with appropriate level refs. Director will handle all discipline issues and will make sure that while competitive league is still fun and safe for all participants.   

          
REFEREES

Centre Soccer Association uses referees at all levels to referee depending on the competition level (In House-Travel-Classic-Adults) and age of the participants. All of our referees are paid for their service to the game. Becoming a referee does not take a great deal of time and is a great way to be involved with and promote soccer.
