SSA Coweta are pleased to announce their Futsal league for the Winter of 2019/20, running from December 15th, 2019 through Jan 19th, 2020. SSA would like to invite all teams and levels to participate in the fast paced action of Futsal this winter.

Do I have to be an SSA Academy, Classic or Athena player to play in the SSA Futsal League?

No. Futsal teams can be made up of recreational and travel team players from any club registered with GA Soccer or US Club Soccer. 

How many players are allowed on a team?

Roster size for all divisions will be a maximum of 9 players.

What are the divisions?

We are scheduled for a Boys division, a Girls division, and possibly a Co-Ed division if numbers permit.

Will games be played only on weekends?

Games will be scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am through to 8pm.

What is Futsal?

Futsal is played between two teams of five players each, one of whom is the goalkeeper. Unlimited substitutions are permitted. Unlike some other forms of indoor soccer, the game is played on a hard court surface delimited by lines; walls or boards are not used. The ball has no bounce to promote quick passing and movement along the ground.
