• 1992-1995: Head Coach Mt. Olive College Men’s Team where he was named Carolinas Conference Coach of the Year 1993
• 1995-1999: Head Coach East Carolina University Women’s Team where he led the team to its first ever CAA Tournament Appearance and was named CAA Women’s Coach of the Year 1996
• 1999-2005: Head Coach UNC Charlotte where he led the 2002 Forty-niners to a Conference USA Title and a national ranking of  #9
