The Carolina Rapids Goalkeeping program has quickly become the place to become a top flight goalkeeper. The program is designed to develop goalkeepers from ages 10-18. Our philosophy is to teach goalkeepers all aspects of goalkeeping from the technical and tactical demands of the game. We teach handling, shot stopping, crosses, distribution and basic communication skills. We offer training multiple times a week and goalkeepers are welcome to train as much as possible. Your development is up to you - you control when and how hard you work. We give you the tools and you make yourself into the goalkeeper you are. The program is proud to have produced college bound and new ODP goalkeepers each year since its inception. A testament to the curriculum and the hard work our goalkeepers have put in.
Equipment
Required:
Gloves (hint: to keep gloves in best condition, wash them at least once/week! Dirty gloves hinder your ability to hold onto the ball)
Shinguards
Recommended:
Pants or 3/4 pants (helps protect your legs)
Goalkeeper Jersey/long sleeved shirt or jacket
