WILLIAMSON COUNTY SOCCER ASSOCIATION

OUR MISSION
The mission of the Williamson County Soccer Association is to promote, develop and administer the sport by providing an organized, safe, fun-filled environment for players on an individual and team level.

WCSA shall provide a program for recreational and developmental soccer, and maintain standards intended to build the character of our players through leadership from coaches, referees and Board members.

OVERVIEW
Williamson County Soccer Association is a non-profit organization that offers both indoor and outdoor leagues for players ranging from age 4 to 19. All our programs are developmental and recreational, allowing players to improve their skills in a fun, positive environment designed to encourage their confidence and love of the game while learning sportsmanship and team-building.  In the outdoor leagues, scores are not kept until the U9 division, and all players U9 and younger receive a participation trophy.

HISTORY
WCSA began in 1982 by our founder, Jose Fernandez.  This dream began with one team that practiced and played at what is now Franklin Elementary School. Through Jose's love for the game and determination, the association grew.

Today, over 8,000 kids play soccer with WCSA making us the largest recreational sports organization in the Nashville metropolitan area. The soccer complex located at Boyd Mill Avenue and Downs Boulevard boasts 27 soccer fields AND an indoor soccer arena. WCSA will host almost 3,000 indoor and outdoor games over the course of a year.  These facilities are second to none in the entire southeast.

U5 and U6 Divisions Play 3v3 Soccer
Each team is comprised of up to 10 players that practice together. Each game day, the coach splits the roster into 2 teams, which play side-by-side.

U7 and U8 Divisions Play 4v4 Soccer
Teams are comprised of 12 players, on a slightly larger field. Games are played the same way as the youngest players: 2 teams playing side by side, with no goalkeeper.

U9 and U10 Divisions Play 7v7 Soccer
As a single unit on a bigger field. Games are no longer split into quarters, but consist of 2x25 minute halves. Play becomes more positional, with passing and receiving being more important. The offside rule is in effect.

U11 and U12 Divisions Play 9v9 Soccer
Teamwork and communication become more important as players begin to specialize in positions and become more skilled. Games consist of 2x30 minute halves, and the offside rule is in effect.

U13 and Above Divisions Play 11v11 Soccer
On a full-sized field; FIFA rules are in effect.
