U7/8 FUNdamental Coaches Page

Coaches,

Thank you again for volunteering your time. Below you will find information on the Fundamental u7/8 Program.

Ryan Hilliard, will be the director for this age group this year and is also our Travel Technical Director. He will be your first point of contact at CSA for anything on the field related. She will work in partnership with our FUNdamental Program coordinator,  who will handle all the off the field items. You will be the main point of contact for your team so please make sure you have a clear understanding of the programming and are communicating with your players and parents throughout the season. If you have questions please ask. You can email your team in one click on the Team Desktop by using Team Central directions are in your coaches package.

For training we have organize the teams into training groups and will work off the following rotation:

Coaches will be in charge of an activity for each session, the warm up and the final game. You will run the activity assigned twice as outlined and then finish with a game. DO NOT PLAY GAMES BIGGER THEN 4v4.

Each week the 2 activities and warm up will be emailed to you. Please be prepared to run your activity each week if you have questions please reach out prior to practice. The Director will organize the rotation for each group and use a whistle to indicate when teams should rotate to the next activity. You as a coach need to arrive at the field early, bring your bag of equipment, set up cones for your activity, bring over pug goals for scrimmages (2 for each team), check in your team and run the activity at your station. At the end of training please make sure the pug goals all are placed back in the shed where you found them and that all players on your team are picked up before leaving the session.
