Locomotive Academy 4U - Formerly PK PAWS

HOSA was founded nearly 40 years ago with a simple mission, provide any interested child the opportunity to play soccer regardless of age or ability.

LOCOMOTIVE 4 program (previously "PK Paws") is designed for three and four year old children and operates in gender specific or coed groups as dictated by registration numbers. The program utilizes age appropriate games and challenges designed to introduce skills and concepts in a safe, fun and noncompetitive environment. Each participant may be joined by one parent for all activities to aid in fostering teamwork rather than focusing on individual performance. A season consists of seven 30-minute weekly sessions (the two weeks immediately following the season are reserved for make-up sessions in the event of activities being cancelled by weather or otherwise unsafe conditions). All sessions will take place at the Hilliard Soccer Complex.

The $60/registration fee includes a t-shirt for the player and one parent. Participants are required to provide their own size “3” soccer ball and should come dressed for physical activity. Soccer cleats are optional for the players, we recommend parents wear athletic shoes. Shin guards are required for the players including a standard soccer sock that pulls up and over the guard. Be sure to bring plenty of water for both parent and child.

Fee: $60.00 per season.

Open Registration for PK Paws: June 1 - June 30

Late Registration: Beginning July 1. If spots remain, late registrations will be accepted until all spots are full. A $15 late registration fee will automatically be added to any late registration.

Welcome to the season email will go out: Approximately the week August 8

Sessions Begin: August 28, 30 or September 1 (depending on what session you are registered for)
(There will not be a session for the Sunday groups on Sunday, Sept 4th due to Labor Day weekend)
PK Paws Picture Day: TBD

Sessions End: October 11, 13 or 16 (depending on what session you are registered for)

Uniform Information

The registration fee for this program will include a t-shirt for the player and a t-shirt for the parent. Parents and players are each required to bring their own size 3 soccer ball to each session. Soccer cleats for players are optional. Athletic shoes rather than soccer cleats are recommended for parents. Parents and players are encouraged to wear appropriate clothing that allows comfortable performance of physical activities and to bring a water bottle to each session. Shin guards and soccer socks over the shin guards are required for the U4 player.
