Concord Soccer is offering a Training Academy program for girls and boys who were born in 2010 in between January-June in 2011.

The Training Academy will meet on four Friday nights in April from 6-7:15 at the Concord Soccer Complex on Naamans Road on the following dates:

April 6
April 13
April 20
April 27

The goal of the Training Academy is to serve as introduction to Representative Team level soccer, for those players interested in making the transition from developmental soccer.The program is geared toward exposing players to the type of training sessions one would experience at the Representative Team level, featuring four main topics:

Academy training will include:

-Dribbling (into space, cutting, turning, feinting)
-Passing (weight of pass, timing of pass, accuracy of pass)
-Receiving (on the ground, out of the air, soft first touch, proper surface selection)
-Ball striking over distance (proper technique, accuracy, weight)

In addition, players will have the opportunity to be coached by the coaches of the new Under-9 Representative Teams that are forming this spring.The Training Academy will be lead by Brian Sprinkle (Concord 2010 Boys Red Head Coach), Adam Raben (Concord 2010 Girls Red Head Coach), and Rob Rosenbaum (Concord 2004 Girls Red Head Coach).Participants will have an opportunity to learn from highly licensed coaches and to experience what the training environment will be like at the Representative Team level.In addition, they will have an opportunity to become familiar with the coaches, as will the coaches become familiar with them, in advance of the upcoming tryouts.

This year's Training Academy will offer players a great opportunity to develop their soccer skills in an exciting and challenging training environment. If your child has expressed interest in trying out for one of the newly forming Under-9 Representative Teams, this is a fantastic opportunity to gauge further interest in the program, all-the-while, receiving excellent training.
