League play begins at 2nd grade. Players will be placed on teams on their grade for the year of play. The Jefferson County Midget Football Association (JMFA) sponsors the following age groups for play: 2nd grade (7); 3rd grade (8); 4th grade (9); 5th grade (10); 6th grade (11); 7th grade (12); 8th grade seniors - (13-14). High School students are ineligible to participate in the JMFA program.
1.1.1 EXCEPTION 1st graders may play on a 2nd grade team for 1 year and then will play 2nd grade again as 2nd graders.
