Coed Fall Baseball

We are pleased to announce the TPSS Pavy Fall Coed Instructional League. Gordon Pavy's passion was playing baseball and coaching others on the the finer points of the game. We can think of no finer way to remember his many talents and his commitment to the fundamentals of TPSS youth baseball. Beginning this season we will add an instructional dimension to our programs.

Our goals are straight forward - continue to build a solid foundation for our TPSS Youth Baseball & Softball Leagues and to expand the playing opportunities for our youths.  Below are our guidelines:

  • Emphasize training / instructions at every level of play.
  • Alternating weekly practice with games.
  • Eight weeks - beginning September 16 through November 4 (inclusive of any make up weeks.)
  • Sunday afternoon play optimizes the limited field availability and the decreasing amount of daylight
  • Fields used: Broadacres,  Hillandale, Ed Wilhelm, Forrest Park, Spring Park;
  • Player enrollments and coaching availability may require us to modify divisions accordingly;
  • Standings will not be maintained;
  • Registration fee - $90.00 and includes insurance, field permits, unis, equipment and umpire fees.
  • Scholarships are available;
  • Players not signed up by the close of registration may incur a late fee and are not guaranteed a spot on the team!
  • Teams will be selected in September;
  • To ensure unis by first game, players must be registered by August 31.

TPSS will provide balls, safety helmets, bats, catchers gear, bases, first aid kits; hitting tees; each player will receive a hat and shirt.

Majors 70 Age Extension

TPSS has expanded the age eligibility for Majors 70 so that all 8th graders are eligible to play. Currently, roughly half of 8th graders are eligible and half are not. Thus, in 2014, the upper-end cutoff for playing TPSS baseball will be a birth date of September 1, 1999. However for safety reasons high school players may not play in Majors 70.
