Cost $45

45 Minute sessions

Objective: To teach the very basics of soccer and to let the kids have fun so they will want to continue. This is all fundamental base. For all first-time players or players that haven’t been able to grasp the basics yet.

Goals:

·       Have fun

·       Learn the positions, rules, goalies, and throw-ins

·       Learn how to dribble, pass, and shoot

·       Toe taps and foundations

·       Teach about good character and sportsmanship

By the end of this league, the teams will understand the very basics of soccer. They will learn the general terms and the proper ways to dribble, pass and shoot the ball. The goal is for them to develop a liking of the game, all while being around kids with the same skill level. This way they do not get overwhelmed by higher-skill kids.

Ages 6-8 Intermediate-Tuesdays 615-7. Fridays 615-7

Cost $45

Objective: For kids that are not at the beginner level but want to do this for fun or they cannot commit to traveling. The main difference is they will be able to play against other teams- all games will be inter-squad if there are enough kids that participate. Needs to have at least 2+ seasons of playing

·       Understand offense, and defense and gradually understand the concept to spread out

·       Understand the proper technique of a throw in

·       Learn how to properly stop a ball, pass and begin introducing the proper way to shoot a soccer ball

·       Continue to learn about toe touches, foundations/ better control of the ball

·       Have fun and continue to show good character, we should start to see this come on their own.

By the end of this league, the kids will understand the rules and positioning of the game. They will develop and learn the basic skills and correct techniques to play. There will not be any competitive games, and games will only occur if there are enough kids to form multiple teams for this level. This is perfect for kids that may not be at the academy level yet but are too advanced for the beginner level. Minimum 1 season required

Ages 9-12 Beginners  Thursdays 530-615, Fridays 530-7

Cost $45

For players that have never played before or are not at the intermediate level yet.

Goals:

·       Understand offense, and defense and gradually understand the concept to spread out

·       Learn the proper technique of a throw in

·       Learn how to properly stop a ball, pass and begin introducing the proper way to shoot a soccer ball.

·       Introduction to juggling

·       Learn about toe touches, foundations, scissors, and pull back

·       Have fun and continue to show good character, we should start to see this come on their own

The goal for this league is for the kids to want to come back and learn how to play soccer. They will get basic knowledge of the position and the very basic drills. This league is great for those who haven’t been able to grasp the basics yet or first-time players. This way they will not be intimidated by more advanced kids, and we can focus on learning the techniques and games.

Ages 9-12- Intermediate  Tuesdays 615-7, Fridays 615–7

Cost $45

Objective: To develop players who have played before but have no interest in continuing at a competitive level or those who want to be Elite but cannot commit to games. There are no guaranteed games.

Goals:

·       Understand offense, and defense and gradually understand the concept to spread out

·       Review the proper technique of a throw in

·       Learn how to properly stop a ball, pass and begin introducing the proper way to shoot a soccer ball.  Continue to work on all parts of the foot.

·       Continue juggling- want to get 10 juggles

·       Work on crossing the ball/corner kicks

·       Continue to use the moves with movement and better control of the ball

·       Have fun and continue to show good character, we should start to see this come on their own

By the end of this age group players should have the skills to continue to move on to the Elite level of playing. They will have a general understanding of rules, and positioning. The kids will be part of the SAY program which will require some traveling and be more competitive than the other programs. However, we still want the kids to have fun and enjoy the sport or they won’t want to continue to move forward. The drills will be more technique focus instead of game/have fun focus. (For example, the intermediate level may play sharks and minnows, but the academy level may play ladders. Both games are about having the player keep the ball in an area, but ladders can be more competitive because there are “levels” on the ladder.”
