COVID-19 Update

The Connecticut Junior Soccer Association (CJSA), our parent organization, announced this week that they are extending the suspension of all our soccer group activities statewide due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Our primary focus continues to be the safety and welfare of our players, coaches, referees and communities.

This suspension includes all in-person events, e.g. practices, training, scrimmages, clinics, tryouts, games and tournaments.

As the state of Connecticut begins to slowly reopen, we look forward to seeing how and when youth sports will be addressed.

The CJSA is currently constructing return-to-play guidelines based on the guidance from US Youth Soccer

The Portland Soccer Club is monitoring announcements made by CJSA and our local, state, and federal governments. We will continue to learn about the impacts to our summer activities and the fall season, and will provide updates to you as soon as the information is available.

In the meantime, be sure to check out our new Player Training page of our website featuring Technical Training with our very own Coach Erin.

Also, don’t forget to submit your video of your players’ best juggle attempts for the Spring Social Distancing Juggling Challenge which ends on Fri, June 5.
