At the end of last season, we sent out a survey and got great responses back about what you would like to see ECB do in the future. Based on your feedback, we are forming four new committees, and we are looking for members.
The new committes are:
- Capital Facility Improvement
- Communications
- Competition
- Facility Maintenance
For more detailed info on each committee, please read on. If you or someone you know would be interested in finding out more or volunteering for one of the committees, please let us know.

- Capital Facility Improvement
- Long-range planning of facilities and capital improvements 2-10 year repairs
- Manage replacement schedule of big ticket tems (HVAC, roof, windows, siding, lights, fencing, etc.)
- 3 members total (consisting of Board President, VP and one non-Board member)
- Qualifications: some financial planning and or capital expenditure experience required
- Manage community engagement, advertising, media, social media, website
- Create monthly newsletter
- Manage volunteer coordination and recruitment
- 3-5 members total
- Manage all aspects of practice and game scheduling and play including:
- Registration and sign-up management and logistics, including team assignments
- Evaluation day logistics
- Draft process and logistics
- Year-round field use schedule
- Fall and Spring rec practice schedules
- Master game scheduling
- Additional responsibilities include
- Create protest committee to review regular season and tournament game protests
- Maintain relationships with umpire and manage umpire schedules
- Maintain and amend rule books as necesary
- Manage league affiliation and make recommendations to Board if changes are needed
- Manage all aspects of uniform design and procurement
- Manage all aspects of game supplies needed, including coach's kits, baseballs, equipment, awards, trophies,etc.
- Manage coach training and orientation, including background checks as required
- Oversee All-Star team player/coach recommendations to the Board for approval (Board retains final say in coach selection per the ECB bylaws)
- 8-12 members total, Chaired by a Board member
- Oversee field and facility maintenance planning and implementation, including:
- Pre-season/off-season field prep
- In-season field prep coach guidelines for practices and games
- Repair and maintenance of fences, cages, utilities, lights, signage and ECB equipment as required
- Maintain general supplies needed, including chalk, infield drag mats, bases, rakes, shovels, fertilizer, drying agent and paint.
- 8-12 members total, Chaired by a Board member
