The Boys & Girls Club is happy to announce our Swim Team for the 2024 Swim Season!

The summer swim team is offered at a member and non-member rate.  Anyone who participated in our 2023-2024 After School membership package or participating in 3 or more weeks of summer camp is considered a member.  For additional information, please inquire at the front desk.

The Boys & Girls Club Swim Team program will run from June 24th to August 2nd.  Practices are held Monday to Friday at the Boys & Girls Club.  Swimmers will have the opportunity to swim in meets throughout the summer. Our swim team is a recreational team that is designed to be a fun addition to our summer programs.  Every Friday is FUN FRIDAY for our swimmers!

Our Summer Swim Team packet will be released in the coming weeks with a finalized meet schedule.

Practice will begin on Monday June 24th. Please have your child at the pool 5-10 minutes prior to the start of practice so that they can change and be ready to get in the pool when their practice time begins. This will help ensure that the kids maximize their time in the pool.

Please make sure your child signs in and out with our swim staff at the main pool gate upon arriving for swim practice and swim meets.

If your child is attending camp after swim team, the MUST check in at the camp front tent prior to coming down to the pool for swim practice or for our meets.

Age Group Practices:

9 and Under Age Group- Practice Time: 8:00am - 8:45am

10 and Older Age Group- Practice Time: 8:45am-9:30am

Meet Information:

Swimmers will be swimming in a combination of four individual events and relays per meet. 10 and under swimmers compete in 25 yard (one length of the pool) races, while 11 and over swimmers compete in 50 yard (two lengths) races of the pool.

Meets will last roughly 2 hours, with all meets being held at the same time as practice. In order to have a smooth-running meet, we need plenty of parent volunteers. Volunteer jobs include lane timers and ribbon writers.  If you are available to volunteer at one of the meets, please indicate this on the meet schedule you are returning to the coaches.  We thank you in advance for volunteering to help!
