North United / Beadling Merger Announcement

It is with great excitement that we announce the merger of North United and Beadling to become Beadling North.  After much discussion and the highly successful 1898 North held by the two clubs this winter, this merger will bring enormous benefits to the current players of North United.

1. Additional High Level Instruction: North United players will now have access to not only the current North United staff but also the qualified coaches at Beadling plus top college and  professional coaches that regularly work with the Beadling Soccer Club. On top of that, the club will now move to an additional training session each week during the winter to offer our players more high level instruction.

    

2. Additional College/Professional Exposure: From training sessions to college showcases, Division 1, 2, and 3 college coaches look to Beadling for players that are well-trained and prepared to be impact players on the collegiate level. Beadling North players will now have those same opportunities and exposure. Also, the Beadling affiliation with DC United will offer the Beadling North players a pathway to training from professional MLS coaches as well as an additional possible identification method to playing at a higher level in the future.

    

3. Additional 1898 Training Opportunities: Beadling North will offer additional 1898 training opportunities to improve the skills of our players in order to make them even more competitive. Sessions will now be offered in the summer in preparation for the fall season, in late fall, and in the winter months to prepare for the upcoming spring season. These sessions will be offered to a greater age range of players to help everyone meet their individual playing goals.

    

4. North United Familiarity: All of the things that made North United a great soccer club are still present with additions to make things even better. Having total control of our outdoor fields at the complex is a rare occurrence in Western Pennsylvania. Most of the staff will remain the same except for positive additions.

1. Continuity of the North United Teams: All of our teams will stay intact with their coaches as we move forward training as the same groups at the same locations. By joining with Beadling, we gain access to their new 11v11 indoor facility to train and play as well as other Beadling teams with which to scrimmage for valuable additional game experience.

***As Beadling North, we have the unique opportunity to offer our players and families all the benefits of the top name in Western Pennsylvania soccer, Beadling, along with the same personal attention and quality as we always have as North United. The official affiliation with the two clubs will begin with try-outs at the conclusion of the spring season.
