THE PURPOSE OF ASG
The reason ASG exists is to help each player achieve their
soccer goals. For some players this may
simply mean enjoying the game and continuing to enjoy playing the game well into their 40s and
beyond. For others they have aspirations
of playing for their high school team, in college, or even professionally. No player will say their primary goal in
their soccer life is to win a U11 tournament.
What this means is that as coaches, parents and as an entire
club our focus must be beyond the next game and on developing players to help
them achieve all of their goals and ambitions down the road.
DEVELOPMENT OR
WINNING?
Development or winning is usually not an either/or
question. At ASG we look to develop
players, we look to develop teams, AND we look to win games.
Our first priority will always be developing
players and developing teams and when faced with the decision of siding with
development or siding with winning, we will choose development.
AT ASG, DEVELOPMENT IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN WINNING…

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM ASG PREMIER
Part of making sure we develop players to their fullest potential means surrounding players with the right coaches, placing them in the right training environment and putting them up against the right competition.
For ASG Premier players that means professional, licensed coaches, 3-4 training events per week with other top level players and pitting our teams against the best the State of Florida and the Southeast Region has to offer. This means ASG Premier is a significant time and travel commitment, but that is what is required when you want to be the best!
THE ASG DEVELOPMENT MODEL
For many of our Premier players, their time with ASG is a preparation for continuing to play at the collegiate level. The ASG Premier experience is intended to prepare them to move into the ASG Showcase program in which teams will focus on participation in top level collegiate showcase tournaments across the country.
Like everything we do at ASG, the ASG Premier Program is conducted with a view on the future and the needs and desires of our players.
IS ASG BETTER?
No club is perfect for EVERYONE. Selecting a club is a very individual decision. Each club offers a differing level of training, coaching, development and opportunity. Each player must select the club that is most in line with their goals and objectives.
Is ASG right for you?
FIVE STATE TITLES and TWENTY-FOUR REGION D CHAMPIONSHIPS in five years is a testament that ASG is successful. No other club in the panhandle comes even close. But ASG is so much more than winning.
