One of the most important undertakings of a first practice, besides handing out uniforms and learning names (this is especially important for the coach) is the selection of the team name.  We had some great choices involving monsters (regular and sea) and homages to Chicago's musical heritage (the Blues), but in the end, the team gained consensus around an outstanding choice among many.
