All, here is the following procedure to register as a new referee :
Entry level referee courses now available. Minimum age 13. Four step process:
Click Sign Up at the top right
2) Once a profile is created, click Courses and complete the New Grassroots Referee Online course (fee is $20)
3) Once the online course is completed, click Courses, then In-Person, and set location to Louisiana to view available in-person field training courses.
4) Once you select an in-person course, you will have to complete additional items (SafeSport training, Intro to safe and healthy playing environments, Grassroots referee certification quiz). The following fees will apply:
-$30 US Soccer Registration Fee
-$30 background check fee (18 and older, good for two years)
-Local course fee ($20 for bayou region / Thibodaux)
When all four of these are complete, and you have a uniform, you will be eligible to referee.
