Developmental Soccer Program
Goal
Our goal is to provide a fun, exciting, and recreational environment so that your child may develop their soccer skills to their full potential. Texas United believes that every player can develop their skills by participating in an environment that is both age and ability appropriate for each of our players.
Philosophy
Texas United Developmental Soccer Program is designed to teach each player skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship in an environment where participation, fun, and competition are the focus. Texas United wants to ensure that all Houston area youth have the opportunity to learn the game of soccer. Our program provides a low-cost, safe and structured soccer experience for all area youth grades Kindergarten to 5th Grade.
Organization
Texas United FC is a non-profit organization that strives to provide an awesome soccer experience for your child. Texas United Developmental Soccer Program has an average of 800 youth players from ages 5 to 10 boys and girls. Our recreational program offers but is not limited to the following:
· Fall season – 8 to 10 game season with an end of season tournament.
· Spring season – 6-9 games.
· Volunteer Coaching (Parents can coach their kids)
· Fitted uniforms with home and away jerseys.
· Professional Skills Training
· Fun and competitive environment
· Coaching education
· Fun Day and much more!
Registration
Texas United Developmental Soccer Program consists of two seasons – Fall and Spring. All practices and games are played at Bear Creek Park – 3535 War Memorial Drive, Houston Tx. You can register online at www.texasunitedfc.com
Fall Season
· Registration Opens - 1st week of May; closes mid August.
· Season consist of 8 to 10 games
· End of Season Tournament Invitation. Usually played on the second weekend of December.
Spring Season
· Registration Opens - 1st week of November; closes on March 8th.
. Late registration ends April 12th (no guaranteed placement. First come, First Serve)
· Season consist of 8 to 10 games
· First game is on March 29th
· No end of season Tournament
Team Formation
· U5 - U6 teams are Coed (roster max of 8) and play the 4v4 format with four quarters of eight minutes.
· U7 - U10 teams are Coed (roster max of 12) and play the 7v7 format with with two- 25 minute halves.
