Coaching Education Opportunities...

CSA is committed to providing our coaches with coaching education opportunities. As we look to develop players it is also important that we are improving our coaches. Coaches that are currently coaching for CSA can receive a refund for courses upon passing the course for up to $100 maximum per year. Courses above this amount must be approved by CSA Technical Director Lisa Cole prior to the course.

In addition to providing coaches with refunds to attend course, we are willing to host course if we can get enough interested coaches to attend. Please let us know if there is a course you are interested in.

Whenever you put together a lesson plan for a training session ask yourself these questions:

• Are the activities fun?
• Are the activities organized?
• Are they appropriate for the age/level of the players?
• Are the players involved in the activities?
• Is creativity and decision making being used?
• Are the spaces used appropriate?

   
A coach can tell the difference between a drill and an activity by using this checklist. Make sure your session contains activities and not drills. Let's keep the game fun for the players.
