Developmental Program Outlines

Centre Soccer’s Developmental Program is designed to help all players reach their potential in a fun, safe environment that takes into consideration what stage a player is at developmentally. The Developmental Program is for players at all ability levels. Players are ability grouped for training and then divide up evenly on teams for games. Focus is on technical development and basic tactical principles are introduced. Players will play in games vs other CSA teams as well as a Festival Date with other Mt. District Clubs. Players are often identified from the developmental program to make CSA's Travel teams.

No scores are kept in games. No Refs will be used with games vs. CSA teams but refs will be used in the Festival. Coaches are to restart play when the ball goes out of bounds, with a throw in from the sidelines and kicks from any ball out on the end lines (goal or corner) and at midfield after a goal. Goals should be celebrated. Coaches should coach from the sideline but can go out on the field if needed to assist players. All age groups are coed unless we get enough girls to sign up and make an all girls group.
