Dear CSA Players & Families,

The CSA Board of Directors has prepared a gradual “Return to Play” outline to be used to guide parents and players in making their own decisions on a safe return to play. 

We recognize and understand our players and families will have varying levels of comfort on returning to play, and this document is available for your review prior to registering. 

While youth sports are extremely important to childrens’ development, CSA is aware that parents/guardians and players need to be cautious during this time of uncertainty.  The Board has researched and consulted dozens of different resources and are offering a safe and cautions plan to Return to Play for soccer players in our community. These guidelines are presented based on information and recommendations to date.

Currently, the 2020 Summer Group Training will be offered to CSA travel players and players who wish to be evaluated for the Fall 2020 CSA Travel program. Families can register for at www.centresoccer.com (“2020 Summer Group Training”). Players that do not wish to participate in the summer programs will still be eligible to play in the fall for their travel team. This program is not a requirement for players that have been evaluated and accepted to the team in the Fall 2019, Winter 2020, or Spring 2020 seasons. Currently, CSA is adopting PA West’s Phase 2 Return to Play guidelines, in the hopes of moving to Phase 3 when appropriate. 

CSA will also offer Adult Pickup with modifications for COVID-19 safety, which new and current players can also register for at www.centresoccer.com (“Summer-Fall 2020 Pickup”). The adult program will continue to operate as part of the annual adult membership and has no additional fee. Players intending to play & receive notifications must register for the program.

Besides coaches, CSA will have volunteer Field Safety Monitors (FSM) at all sessions. FSMs will assist in the check-in, monitoring, and safety of all players and coaches at our practices. If you would like to be part of this group, please email [email protected].

With this in mind, we also understand that a financial commitment is an added burden on the decision in some cases, and we are offering our youth summer programs at NO CHARGE, with only a required online registration and online acceptance of player and parent responsibilities necessary to participate. 

We do additionally suggest parents of youth players consider a modest donation to the program, with the donation options provided at the end of the free registration ("Summer Program Donation".) 

Donations will be used to support the FREE summer program, and also help offset unrecouped expenses from our canceled spring programs, which were refunded 100%.
