Jim Spence - President
|
Jim Spence is the Founder of Sports Quest and has served on the Board since 1996. Originally from England, Jim came to Houston in 1992 to pursue soccer ministry. He is currenty the Executive Director of Sports Quest and oversees all on field soccer ministry. Jim graduated from North Staffordshire Polytechnic (now Staffordshire University) in 1989 with a BA Honors Degree in Sports and Recreation. David Markley - Vice President
|
| David Markley has been a Board Member since 2006, and supported Sports Quest by coordinating soccer camps in Austin from 2002 through 2007. He is currently VP Operations for FlowBelow Aero Inc. and has a ten year history with teams in the United Soccer Leagues, most recently as Soccer Operations Manager for San Antonio FC. David was the owner and chairman of the Austin Aztex from 2012 to 2014, was previously part owner of Orlando City SC, served on the Premier Development League's Executive Committee and was selected as the Executive of the Year in 2009. He played club soccer at Auburn University, where he earned Bachelors and Masters degrees in Mechanical Engineering. |

Kyle Sears - Board Member

Kyle Sears has been a Board Member since 2005 and is a successful, versatile lawyer with over 25 years of experience in providing wise counsel and sound legal and practical advice to clients involved in business, disputes and transactions. Kyle has assisted clients in avoiding and resolving disputes through documentation, negotiation, mediation, litigation and arbitration. Assisted clients in negotiating and consummating business transactions. Kyle has served on the City Council for the City of Spring Valley, TX.; on the Soccer Board of Spring Branch Memorial Sports Association and has chaired and served on numerous committees at Houston's Second Baptist Church/school. Kyle graduated from Texas A & M University in 1980 with a BBA in Finance, and in 1983, received a College of Law Juris Doctorate from the University of Houston. He has been married to Debra for 28 years and has 2 daughters.

Cynthia Teague - Board Member

Cynthia Teague has been a Board Member since 2009 and has been involved with Sports Quest through her children for over 13 years. Cynthia is a retired regulatory compliance consultant who specialized in auditing, training, and assisting financial institutions of all sizes throughout Texas. Both Cynthia and her husband, David, served in various volunteer roles at Cypress Christian School, where their children attended for 17 years. Cynthia also served as a Board Member for Westside Soccer Club for three years. Cynthia graduated from the University of Texas in 1979 with a BBA in Management. She has been married to David for 31 years. They have 2 sons and 1 daughter who were all trained by Sports Quest when they played competitive soccer for Westside Soccer Club. All 3 children went on to play collegiate soccer and participated as campers and coaches for Sports Quest summer camps.

Debbie Spence - Secretary

| Debbie Spence has been a Board Member since 1996. She is Co-Founder of Sports Quest and became a full time employee in 2002. Debbie serves as the Office Manager and oversees all day to day off field operations of the ministry. Debbie is City and Guilds certified in Computer Aided Drafting (CAD-CAM) and earned a Diploma in Business Studies. She graduated from Percival Whitley College in Halifax (UK) in 1983. Before moving to the US, Debbie worked as a Technician for Yorkshire Water for over 10 years. Debbie has been married to Co-Founder Jim Spence since 1994 and they have a son, Joshua and a daughter Megan. |

Christoper Honeycutt -Treasurer |
| Chris Honeycutt joined the Board in May 2015. Chris is currently CFO of Identity Automation and oversees the company’s financial and accounting operations. For the past 15 years, Chris has held financial leadership roles with multiple technology companies in the Houston area. Chris has been married to his wife, Lynn, for over 18 years and together they have a daughter, Brianna. Chris currently coaches a U14 girl’s team trained by Sports Quest. Chris is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a master’s degree in finance from Houston Baptist University. |

Michael Harwell - Board Member |

Mike Harwell joined the board in Spring 2015. Mike is a graduate from the University of Mississippi ( commonly known as Ole Miss) with a BBA in Business Management and a minor in International Business. He is founder and principle of The Hillwood Group based in Houston, TX which serves food industry customers in the area of international product sourcing and representation. Mike has been married to his wife Darlene for 26 years and have two sons (Connor & Ryan). Mike previously served as Vice President for Westside Soccer Club located at Bear Creek Park and was instrumental in expanding Sports Quest’s training role with the club. Mike remains active in the youth soccer community by serving as the Director for the Houston Labor Day Cup soccer tournament and by serving as a volunteer during Sports Quest’s outreach camps. Mike also works for the Houston Dynamo of the MLS as part of their game day operations staff. |

| Guy Caskey - Board Member |
Guy Caskey joined the board in the fall 2016. He is the founder of the M4 Network "a disciple making movement." Guy's passion is to see holistic, organic living that is Missional, that Multiplies, that results in Movement and Mobilizes His body for His eternal purpose. Guy and his wife Kelli and their three children Rachel, Candace and Besufekad live in Houston, Texas with a heart for the nations. He is a trainer, disciple maker, church planter, missions catalyst and cultural strategist. For nearly 30 years Guy has modeled a Christ centered life. |
