Recreational coaches are not required to hold any coaching license, however WTYSA requires all staff to have state sanctioned Background Checks, Safe Sport training, and Concussion training completed via NJYS and the CDC.
Travel coaches are required to hold at least a State F License before being allowed to register and coach a team. We encourage our travel coaches to continue their training as they continue to coach. WTYSA requires all staff to have state sanctioned Background Checks, Safe Sport training, and Concussion training completed via NJYS and the CDC.
Soccer coaches are licensed in a standardized manner on a state and national level. The entry level coaching license is the State F License, and coaches may then work their way up through the various levels all the way to a National A License.
