Coach Perryman is from Cottage Grove, MN. She attended Park high school where her high school softball team won 3 conference championship titles and 3 sections championship titles. Perryman played club softball for Midwest Speed before attending Valley City State University in Valley City, ND. Riley graduated from VCSU in 2022 with a Health Science degree and is currently a graduate assistant at VCSU while completing her master’s in business information systems. During her time at VCSU, she won 2 regular season conference championships, 3 conference tournaments and 1 opening round championship. Coach Perryman is a 3x first team All-Conference player, first team All-Region player and an All-American Honor Mention player. Riley has been playing softball for 20 years and is very excited to spread her knowledge and love for the game.  

Coach Feist began his coaching career in 2015, working with a couple athletes in individual lessons. That spring he began coaching with the West Fargo Packers where he was an assistant coach for two seasons. He has also coached the West Fargo United 16U team for three summers. For the past 4 seasons Coach Feist has been the head coach of the Diamond Academy 16U Travel Team, and has lead them to 2 state titles. In the winters he works with Diamond Academy assisting players from all over the region to obtain their goals.

Coach Feist began playing men’s fastpitch in 2009, primarily as a catcher. Today Coach Feist also pitches for his men’s team, though his biggest attribute is his hitting. Coach Feist has been selected as a All-World player at the NAFA World Series twice, including in 2015 when he won a National Championship. He has also had the honor of playing in the distinguished ISC World Tournament.

Coach Feist prides himself on his mental approach to the game, and believes it is one of the biggest weapons a young player can have when playing. Coach Feist earned his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in Dec. 2018 and currently works as a Quality Engineer at Doosan Bobcat in Gwinner.

Zach Frazier: 

Zach continued his baseball career at the University of Minnesota-Crookston where he was the starting catcher for 4 years and was named team captain for his Junior and Senior seasons. Zach was a part of the winningest class in UMC baseball history as he was a part of numerous record-breaking seasons for the Golden Eagles. Zach finished his career at UMC 4th all-time in games started, 6th all-time in RBIs, and 2nd all-time in fielding percentage. In the summers of 2016 and 2017, Zach played for the Weyburn Beavers of the Western Major Baseball League.

Coach Christianson is our Lead Recruiting Specialist. Coach Christianson has created many contacts throughout NCAA, NAIA, and NJCAA. With Diamond Academy Coach Vance has helped lead/coach our 18u and most recently our 10u team.

 

Coach Christianson is in his first with Valley City State University as the Assistant Coach. Primary focus is defense but helps coach all aspects of the game. Previously Coach Christianson was with Mayville State University for 3.5 years. During his time there he was the outfield coach, infield coach, pitching coach, and interim head coach. In the spring of 2022 Coach Christianson’s Mayville State team finished in 3rd place at the conference tournament. The University’s highest finish in over 20 years. Previous to coaching collegiate softball Coach Christianson was with Shanley High School (Fargo, ND) as their Head Coach. He helped lead the Shanley Deacons from 10th place to 4th place in the EDC in just his first season. Coach Christianson started his softball coaching career at Moorhead High School as the JV Coach where he then started coaching summer softball as well. After his first season at Moorhead Coach Vance then started up the organization known as Moorhead Crush Fastpitch. Coach Vance was the Program Director for 3 years and coached the 18u travel ball team.

 

Coach Christianson has 10+ years’ experience of playing many different levels of Men’s Fastpitch. Coach Vance was the League President for 2 years during his playing time. Coach Vance primarily played Catcher, 1st base, 3rd base, and Extra Hitter.
