2024 Grosse Pointe Senior League

The Senior League is a great way to continue playing Grosse Pointe community baseball.

The Senior League is open to all players 13 to 16 years old as of August 31, 2024 who reside or
attend school in Grosse Pointe or Harper Woods. Games are played on a full-sized diamond
with 90-foot base paths. We typically play teams from Lac St. Clair, Eastside Little League, and
Clinton Valley. Double rostering is fine with us, so your player can play in both Fed Ball and
Senior League, no problem. Games will start in late May, after the high-school season winds up.
Season ends by early August to not interfere with fall sports practices (e.g., football). We have
expanded rosters so player can take vacations and participate in other activities.

Home games are played at Ghesquiere mostly with an occasional game at Elworthy. Away
games mostly in St. Clair Shores and Clinton Township. ~15 game schedule. Most games
played during the week with an occasional Saturday game so little interference with weekend
tournaments. Sunday practices when players are available.

Senior League is laid back and a good time for all. Everyone is welcome, and emphasis is on
development and camaraderie. We do full line-up batting. The games can be quite competitive
and we always have some excellent players. But nobody “rides the pine” in Senior League.
Although the season starts later, it’s helpful if you register early so we can get a feel for how
many teams we will have. Last year we had three Grosse Pointe teams. We plan to schedule an
evaluation day in early to mid-May so we can even up the teams.
