FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What about tryouts?
SPSC does not conduct tryouts for team placement. The organization is small enough to avoid this difficult process. It allows us to focus on overall development rather than trying to form teams around wins and losses.

What about playing time?
We offer equal playing time for our youngest teams. This offers children the opportunity to build confidence and learn to contribute to the team. Once the children reach adolescence coaches move away from equal playing time. Instead coaches may use practice attendance, effort, attitude, and fitness level to determine playing time.

What about financial assistance?
SPSC offers financial assistance and scholarships for players. For more information, please contact the Registrar at [email protected].

How does SPSC raise funds for the program?
SPSC does a variety of fundraising throughout the year. Fundraising may include concessions stands, BINGO, selling merchandise, etc.
