1. When/Where will the games be played?

Winter season games are Saturday mornings
Spring season games are Friday evenings
Fall season games are Saturday late afternoons

2. When will practices be held?

Practices for players/cheerleaders will be held at a local city park within your neighborhood (if possible) to make it convenient for parents and coaches. Typically practices are held twice a week for an hour and it is up to each individual coach to determine when and where practices will be held. Coaches are encouraged to work with players schedules since many players participate in multiple sports. They may also be opportunities to hold practice before the game, if space and time is available.

3. How much does it cost? (Optional/required gear)

Early registration starts at $199.00 for football and $199.00 for cheerleading. Cleats are optional but recommended. Mouth guards are required. Soft helmets are required and can be purchased. Our supplier is Gamebreaker soft helmets.

Seasons games are as follows:
Winter (Jan/Feb)= Saturday Mornings
Spring (late April - Mid June)= Friday Nights
Fall (Sept/Oct)= Saturday afternoon/evenings

4. Can you request teammates?

Yes, you can! During the registration process there will be a box to fill in a name of a friend you would like to play with. We will do our very best to accommodate your request but we cannot guarantee it. Teams are determined by age, skill level, school, friends request. If we have to many of the same request we then go by first come first serve registration sign up date. There are no refunds for not getting the requested team or buddy.

7. How long are the games/season?

Season is 8-9 weeks long (depending on season) that includes playoffs (8-9 weeks with practices and bye week - if a bye week is used - changes per season). Each team makes the playoffs! The games are played with 2 half's, 20 minute running clock, forty minute game play.

8. How much will my child play?

All athletes will have playing time. Player get rotated during games. NFL FLAG VC uses a player sheet.

9. Why should my child play NFL Flag Ventura County Football?

With the increase of concussions and head injuries in tackle football NFL Flag Football Ventura County gives your child a much safer way to play football. It also will help teach him or her, the fundamentals of the game. Learning to play the game the right way will help your child prevent injuries in the future when they decide to play contact football.

10. What are the divisions?

Depending on each season registration numbers, divisions could change, but will never include more than 3 ages per division.

5U = 4-5 year olds
6U = 6 year olds
8U = 7-8 year olds
10U = 9-10 year olds
12U = 11-12 year olds
14U = 13-14 year olds
17U = 15-17 year olds

11. Can I request a refund?

You may request a refund up to 5 days after your registration date for any reason, (unless after the late fee date), please email us at [email protected]. No refunds (no exceptions) after uniform/equipment have been ordered (usually 3-4 weeks before 1st game depending on season).If a cancellation is granted there are no refunds on Credit Card fees, web service registration fees, admin fees or player insurance at any time. Fee amounts are based on time of cancellation and nonrefundable. There are no refunds do to weather during the season. Although weather is out of our control, we will make every effort to make games up. There are no refunds on custom name jerseys.
