NJ Youth Soccer Hall of Fame

The NJ Youth Soccer Hall of Fame honors individuals who have demonstrated outstanding accomplishments and/or leadership while making significant contributions to the improvement of soccer and its participants in our state. These individuals have distinguished themselves with outstanding service, standard of play and/or performance as a volunteer, administrator, referee, coach and/or player.

2021 NJYS Hall of Fame Inductee - Evelyn Gill



New Jersey Youth Soccer bestowed Evelyn Gill with its highest honor when the state association inducted her into the NJYS Hall of Fame in 2021. Gill, who is a Past President of NJ Youth Soccer, passed away in December 2021 after finishing her third term as NJYS President the previous year. Read more.

Member Highlight - Joe Russo

Joe Russo is a 2018 inductee into the NJ Youth Soccer Hall of Fame. Russo retired from coaching at the conclusion of the 2021 college season after leading The College of New Jersey to the Division III National Championship Final. During his 32-year tenure as TCNJ head coach, Russo led the Lions to 13 Final Four appearances and won three Division III National Championships.

Russo was officially inducted into the NJYS Hall of Fame at the 31st Annual NJYS Awards Dinner Presented by RWJBarnabas Health.

NJ Youth Soccer Hall of Fame

Two-time FIFA Player of the Year Carli Llloyd was a member of the 2011 NJYS Hall of Fame Class.

Former Rutgers Women's Soccer head coach Glenn Crooks, who is also a former New Jersey ODP coach, was inducted into the NJYS Hall of Fame in 2017.
