Still anybody's league
Now that all of our rosters are locked in and teams have had the first half of the season to gel, we're seeing a lot of impressive play and intense games, and we're loving every second of it!
In Week 5, we saw three highly competitive games with all 6 teams putting forth strong overall effort and showing good teamwork.
On Field 1, the defending champs 'TMB' officially completed a full league sweep, beating the one remaining team they had yet to play (YUG) to move to 5-0. While they started off the season with several close games, they've now outscored their opponents 15-2 in their last 2 games holding each opponent to only 1 run.
'YUG' remains the 3 seed in our standings, but needs to get back to their winning ways to avoid falling. Still one of the top teams, 'YUG' surely plans on playing 'TMB' again in the Championship game!
On Field 2, Ball Stars continued their very impressive season with another multi-score win and another game with several standout players. Ball Stars is chasing 'TMB' for that top spot and will be there to steal it the moment 'TMB' slips up. It seems Ball Stars doesn't plan on losing again this season and is certainly playing like it.
Ballbusters is struggling as of late, but in their first season playing together and playing against plenty of seasoned veterans, they've shown up and shown out most weeks and have made for some very fun/competitive games. We fully believe they'll be better each week and are capable of shocking any team any given week.
On Field 3, The Biebel Bunch won their second game in three weeks to now find themselves the 4 seed and surprise some people with their sudden jump in the standings. TBB, as mentioned last week, plays their hearts out each & every week and can easily end up a top 3 seed this season if any of the top 3 slip. This will be an exciting team to watch the rest of the way!
Lastly, Ballz to the Wallz, another team worth a close watch, lost to TBB by only 2 runs (7-5), but is comprised of a group of people that clearly love playing together and have played in close games nearly every week, so we expect they still have some noise to make too.
The next few weeks are going to be big games for all, and we can't wait to see it!! Good luck!
