NWYFL - 6th Grade Progression Tackle Football

6^th Grade Parents,

We have an exciting opportunity that we would like to discuss with you. As you are aware our league continues to look for opportunities to develop and progress our players throughout the program. One of the challenges that we face on an annual basis is the jump from 6^th grade to 7^th grade. We have already implemented a Spring Camp to begin the adjustment process for these players.

For a number of years other local leagues have reached out to us in a desire to host a game/scrimmage at the end of the youth season and this is the case again this year.

We are creating an opportunity for our 6^th grade players to join the team this year. This will be a tackle scrimmage. NWYFL in partnership with the Middle School program will provide all of the equipment that is needed for your player. They will practice separately (for the next 5 weeks) on Thursday evenings at the High School from 6PM to 7:30PM. Every 6^th grader that desires to join the team will be on the team, there will not be tryouts and no 6^th grade player will be turned away.

The game will happen on Saturday, October 20^th vs. Jimtown (time and location TBD).

The cost for this opportunity is $30 and the sign-up will take place through the NWYFL website. Please reply to [email protected] if you have any questions.
