True Lacrosse Expands Girls Program in Southeast Florida
SOUTHEAST FLORIDA – Lacrosse is growing at a rapid pace, and True Lacrosse is leading the charge by expanding its girls' program in Southeast Florida. Recognizing the increasing demand for elite training and competitive opportunities, True Lacrosse has launched a structured, high-level program designed to help young female athletes develop their skills, compete at higher levels, and create pathways to college recruitment and national competition.
A New Era for Girls' Lacrosse in South Florida
True Lacrosse has long been recognized as one of the nation’s premier lacrosse development programs, and now the organization is bringing that same elite-level training and mentorship to girls’ lacrosse in Southeast Florida. Through the newly established Florida Tropics Girls Lacrosse program, True Lacrosse is creating a pipeline for players to grow within the sport, offering them opportunities to compete at local, regional, state, and national levels.
"Our goal is to provide the same elite training and structured development for girls as we do for our boys’ teams," said Jason Heatherly, Palm Beach County Director of True Lacrosse. "We want to ensure female athletes in our area have access to the best coaching, training, and competition to help them reach their full potential."
Top-Tier Coaching & Mentorship
A critical component of True Lacrosse’s success has always been coaching, and the girls’ program is no exception. The Florida Tropics Girls Lacrosse program is led by former collegiate players, high school coaches, and experienced trainers who are dedicated to developing well-rounded athletes.
Among the coaching staff is Chloe Foley, former Keiser College standout and girls’ lacrosse trainer, who will play a key role in mentoring and developing players. Additionally, True Lacrosse is collaborating with top high school coaches from Spanish River, Palm Beach Central, and Seminole Ridge to provide high-level instruction and training.
A Pathway to the Next Level
True Lacrosse’s expansion into girls’ lacrosse is not just about local development—it’s about creating a pathway for athletes to advance beyond their local teams. Through the Florida Tropics, players will have the opportunity to:
✅ Develop fundamental and advanced skills with high-level training
✅ Compete in local and regional tournaments against top-tier teams
✅ Earn opportunities to play on the Florida State and National Teams
✅ Receive college exposure and recruitment guidance
This structured approach ensures that girls in South Florida can progress through different levels of play, from youth leagues to elite-level showcases.
