ASA brings NFL Flag to Aldine

Patrick "PJ" James and Michael Thomas had a vision to bring something to the community that grew up in. Patrick, a MacArthur grad (98) and Mike a Nimitz grad (08), wanted to offer something to the youth of Aldine that they didn't have growing up...in 2015 they began Camp Mike T, a free youth football camp for kids in elementary-high school, but the 2 Aldine grads didn't stop there. They wanted to bring something new to the youth in Aldine...their own sports league. Aldine Sports Association (ASA) was formed in 2019. The covid-19 pandemic almost derailed the dream, but Mike and PJ stuck to their motto "No Excuses." They continued to host Camp Mike T, which just had its 7th annual camp. They formed NoExcuses Select, a select middle school and high school 7 on 7 football team, and they work on ways to bring ASA to life. They have now partnered to with Dre Thompson and NFL Flag to bring NFL Flag football to the youth and community of Aldine. THIS IS ASA!
