12U Team Excels at Cooperstown

Our Lewisboro Lightning 12U boys put on quite the show in Cooperstown last week. They faced off against teams from around the country -- from California, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. They exceeded all expectations, racking up a 7-4 overall record and advancing to the Championship Game of the Silver bracket.

The Lightning were dominant through the first 4 rounds of the single-elimination playoffs, beating their opponents by a cumulative score of 48-17. In the Championship Game, the Lightning fell behind early, but the boys battled back from two 5-run deficits to make the game close. Ultimately, their rally in the bottom of the 6th inning came up just short.
