Main Activities:

The main activities should be understanding of team tactics, problem solving, and understanding of how the game is played (geometric, spatial-temporal relationships, compactness vs. space, 4 phases of the game), positional/spatial awareness, roles and relationships on and off the ball among teammates and of opponents, also in relation to the location and phase of play, and group play dynamics. Continued focus on mastery of more advanced technical aspects. Introduction to the demands of being a complete athlete (nutrition, time and body management, work to rest rations in and outside of training, etc.) Keep players engaged 90% of the time with small sided games, rondos, and positional games with opposition included. Focus on playing through midfield in attack and creating scoring opportunities; as well as defending in the midfield third of the field. Also reinforce building out of the back but now in an 11v11 format. And continue to build upon individual and small group defending, possession, transition activities, as well as introducing higher level technical activities such as aerial control, awareness and decision making, and crossing and receiving. Competere as means of pursuing excellence as individuals and as teams.
