Woburn Youth Soccer Association

Adult Registration Process

Below is soccer-related info for coaches and other volunteers for Woburn Youth Soccer.

CORI Form

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts and Mass Youth Soccer requires that all coaches and volunteers complete a CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) form to allow the state to process background checks for all volunteers working with children.

Woburn Youth Soccer takes seriously its commitment to provide a quality developmental youth sports program for the children of Woburn. Part of that commitment is to ensure that we provide a safe environment for all those children in our program. The WYS Board of Directors has developed a comprehensive child protection policy that has been reviewed by Mass Youth Soccer, as well as a national organization that focuses on child protection. As outlined, below, the commitment that you must make to this policy and to the protection of the children in the WYS program.

It is mandatory that every volunteer in WYS (Board Members, Volunteers, Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Team Managers, etc.) complete the steps outlined below prior to stepping out on the field.  Every adult who works with Woburn Youth Soccer must be CORIed — there are NO exceptions.

We are not allowed to share CORI information, so even if you have submitted CORI information for Woburn Recreation, the School System, or any other organization, we need for you to submit through Woburn Youth Soccer.

ADULT REGISTRATION PROCESS

Adult registrations will be an annual requirement coinciding with the soccer calendar year (Fall/Spring seasons) even though the CORI approval is good for multiple years.  Go to: https://www.mayouthsoccer.org/adult-registration-process/ for more detailed information on the Adult Registration with Mass Youth Soccer.

Before you begin

  • Headshot - You will need a picture of yourself to upload during registration.  If you are a Travel team coach please use the same picture for your Adult registration and for your Travel ID.  Have a passport quality headshot photo ready to upload (head shot of you only, no hat or sunglasses).  Note: this will be printed on your credential, so please do not use a picture of your license.
  • Organization - Please double check when choosing Woburn Youth Soccer for your organization during your Adult Registration.
  • Legal Name - Use the exact same spelling of your legal first and last name and the same email address for all soccer related accounts/registrations (ex: if your legal name is Jessica but you go by Jess, please use Jessica when registering). This will ensure proper integration of systems, auto approval/verification of training requirements when possible, and reduce the likelihood of duplicate accounts.

To start your Adult Registration, click LOGIN to log into your Woburn Youth Soccer account.

Your actions can help create a safe environment for young athletes so that they can stay healthy, active, and thrive – both on and off the playing field. Completion of either of these classes will be accepted.

Complete 1-time CORI Verification Process.
The verification process is different than having your CORI processed and happens with your local risk manager. They will review your CORI Acknowledgement form and government issued ID in person, over video meeting, or by sending a notarized form.
